This journey to Gamti Mountain and Bonilla Lake departs from Tirana and takes you through the Albanian countryside. Enjoy a mountain walk and a cool dip in the river.
The tour begins at 9:00 a.m. with pickup from your lodging and departure for Bovilla Lake: View Tirana's suburban neighbourhoods and the city's diverse lifestle along the trip.
Before hiking in Gamti Mountain, drive up to the lake's dam. Prepare for the hike by following an easy trail, with each step delivering a more breathtaking view than the last as you ascend to the peak.
Hike for around 40 minutes, and you'll be rewarded with stunning views of the lake and the beautiful hills surrounding it. Spend some time resting, admiring the vista, conversing, and eating food in the cave's shadows. Following the break, return down the same path.
Finish the hike by briefly stopping at the river below the dam containing a spectacular canyon. Choose to cool off by swimming in the river's cool water. At the end of the quest, return to Tirana.
