Gamti Mountain Hike with Lake Views
Depart Tirana for the day to walk across Albania's beautiful countryside. After reaching the summit of Gamti Mountain, you may gaze out over Bovilla's beautiful lake.
Your adventure begins at 9:00 a.m. when you are picked up from your hotel and driven to Bovilla Lake. The route is approximately 21 km long, with half of it off-road. Along the route, take in sights of Tirana's surrounding neighbourhoods, which have a different lifestle from the capital.
Before hiking in Gamti Mountain, drive up to the lake's dam. Your hiking path is straightforward, with each step presenting a more spectacular view than the previous one as you rise to the peak.
The trek takes around 40 minutes, and from the top of the hill, you can see the lake and the lush hills surrounding it. Take some time to rest, enjoy the beautiful scenery, converse, and eat meals in the cave's shadows. After your break, return down the same path you came up.
After trekking, take a quick break by the river below the dam, which features a beautiful canyon. You can also choose to cool down by swimming in the river's cool water. Your guide will return you to Tirana at the end of your journey.
This tour is not recommended for people with heart issues or a fear of heights. It is also necessary to carry some identification, such as your passport or ID card. You should also bring food and drink.
